We decided to buy a pair of shoes for Celine's 1st birthday anniversary. We have given a pair of shoes to Cheryl on her 1st birthday anniversary as well. The more conservative Chinese believes that before the age of one, a baby cannot wear shoes. So, this is to symbolise that she has attain the age where she can wear shoes. We did not buy very expensive shoes for her as based on our experience with Cheryl, toddlers grows up very fast. They would outgrown the shoes by the blink of an eye. Although not very expensive, the shoes are still quite attractive. I think the more expensive shoes are almost of the same quality with the cheaper shoes. Only the brand names make the difference in prices.
