My old camera is spoilt and can't be used already. So, I went to PC Fair during the weekend to buy a new one. I bought this Nikon P510 at a discounted PC Fair price. It came with a few free gifts i.e. the 3 section tripod, towel and a limited edition tumble.

Pandan Chiffon Cake
I baked this pandan Chiffon cake today. It turns out very soft and fluffy. I like the taste and texture of this cake. Hubby said it is as fragrant as those available in the bakery.
This is my recipe:
Pandan Chiffon Cake
Ingredients
A
6 egg yolks
120 gm coconut milk
60 ml Pandan juice
4 tbs corn oil
1/4 tsp salt
80 gm caster sugar
140 gm cake flour
B
6 egg whites
100 gm caster sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Method
Mix all ingredients A together until smooth. As for B, whisk the 6 egg whites together with cream of tartar and gradually add in the sugar. Whisk till the egg whites mixture turn into stiff peak. Then gradually fold in the egg whites into A. Mix evenly and pour it into a 23 inches pan. Bake at 170 degree celcius for 40 minutes. Once done, remove from oven and invert it into a wire rack. Leave to cool.

Mini Butter Buns
I have been craving for the butter buns that I tasted during my childdhood for quite sometime. However, I have not seen those type of buns since then. I remember vividly how the Indian uncle went around the neighbourhood selling breads and buns on his motorcycle. I regretted not baking these earlier as their taste are quite similar to those that I tasted during my childhood. I got the recipe from here and modified the steps a bit as I am using a breadmaker to knead the buns. This recipe is a sure keeper. The resulting buns are so soft and fluffy with heavenly buttery taste.

Sewing Project
Red Bean Paste Rolls II
I am on medical leave today and had actually plan to rest and sleep. However, the mantous that I made previously has finished. Therefore, I have to make something else for the girls' breakfast. Since I have just bought red bean paste last week, I thought of making buns with red bean paste.
Other than spending my precious medical leave to bake these rolls, I have also completed my most recent sewing project. The photos will be revealed in my upcoming post.

Milo Mantou
These mantous were made last Saturday. I actually planned to bake a swissroll but I was not feeling very well on that day. So I just try to make something simple and easy which does not require much effort. So, these mantous just popped up on my mind. I was also trying to clear my cabinets off some materials which has been sitting idle there for quite sometime. I also did not follow any established or proven recipe. So, you should be able to imagine how happy I was when the result turned out unexpectedly good. These mantous were so soft and fluffy.
